had to make some photos of a nursing home director in hartford, so photographer marc norberg. i’ve shot with marc dozens of times over the years but we’ve never had the chance to travel together. the bad news was our trip was only 24 hours, the good was every town, no matter how small has something cool in it, you just have to find it. well we did. blackie’s hot dogs was a pretty amazing score...so was the classic old american dining car run by a polish family; one side of the menu was american greasy spoon food, the other side was traditional polish food...that’s pretty cool. i love quick trips into small towns...it’s a mission, i only have a few hours to sniff out whatever that town has to offer that’s interesting.
