i may be one of the only people that never went to washington DC as a kid. i guess i’m glad i didn’t because i would have been bored as hell and the meaning of it all would have been lost on me. i have to say i’m no big fan of the current situation in washington and think we’re in one of our darkest periods politically, so i had a bit of a bad taste in my mouth as i walked around checking out the monuments and stuff. for the most part i was able to look past my disgust with the situation and see washington for what it stands for and has always stood for and that’s pretty cool. now if only the current administration would open their eyes and see what i saw maybe they wouldn’t make so many bad decisions.
